The Weeknd is gearing up for an iconic album release. His follow-up to 2020’s “After Hours” is called “Dawn FM” and it’s dropping this week with an exciting visual teaser and heavy-hitters including music icon and legend Quincy Jones, Lil Wayne, and comedian Jim Carrey.
The trailer for the new project includes clips of The Weeknd as his new persona, an elderly man who is being awakened to a new dawn.
In the trailer, The Weeknd gets into a crash, gets dragged away by cult members, ages to a white-haired, wrinkle-faced old man, and is reborn to welcome the viewer to the beginning of a new day – 103.5 Dawn FM.
The album has some unusual collaborators such as Tyler, the Creator, Lil Wayne, Quincy Jones, Oneohtrix Point Never, and Jim Carrey.
Dawn FM comes to the light this Friday, Jan. 7.
