Hollywood actor Will Smith has reminded fans he is still a hip-hop star at heart with the release of musician Bomba Estéreo’s “Fiesta” remix this week.
Big Will’s unexpected audio gem premiered online Friday (October 2).
“When I was told that Will Smith wanted to collaborate on a remix with Bomba, I couldn’t believe it,” founder of the Columbian band Simon Mejia said in a statement. “This opportunity to work with Will was beyond anything we have dreamed of. … It’s just magic.” (Entertainment Weekly)
In August, Smith teamed up with Young Money’s Drake at his OVO Fest.
Sports Illustrated‘s Fansided reports that Will Smith showed up at OVO fest, and asks, “The real question is why did Philadelphia native Will Smith turn his back on fellow Philly resident Meek Mill. Was he oblivious to the beef going on at the moment and didn’t realize he was being used as a pawn by Drake?” (Radio)
Back in February, Will hinted at new music coming together with hip-hop stud Kanye West.
The 46-year-old actor has been in the studio with Kanye West and has even been taking tips from his 16-year-old son Jaden. His last solo album was Lost And Found in 2005. “I went into the studio with Kanye. I’m thinking about it. I’m exploring,” he said at a special screening of his new film, Focus, in London. Back in July, Drake posted up a picture of Smith’s daughter Willow onto his Instagram page.
