Here's A History Of Black Women In James Bond Movies

The New 007

Black women have been in James Bond movies since the 1970s and have continued throughout the series in roles like bodyguards, government agents, and even playing his smitten secretary/agent Moneypenny. In this new installment of the franchise, Lashana Lynch, who played Maria Rambeau in Marvel Studio’s 2019 “Captain Marvel” stars as the agent who has taken over the 007 codename since James Bond retired. Daniel Craig will still reprise his role as James Bond in the movie.
