50 Cent Calls Out Father's Day Bias

50 Cent took to social media to point out general biases against Father’s Day. The “Get Rich Or Die Tryin’” rapper claimed Father’s Day is not an actual holiday. On Instagram, he shared a video stating: 

“Listen, listen. Father’s Day is a holiday that’s not really a holiday, you know what I’m saying? That shit is like, even by the commercials, look at the commercials. Father’s Day, they’ll show you screwdrivers, muthafuckin’ power tools. Like, go fix some shit. They wanna see you go fix some shit.”

The “Power” series co-creator continued: 

“But when Mother’s Day comes, that shit be like Zales, because you care. It be different shit, like n-ggas don’t want diamonds, you know what I’m saying? They’ll do it for their mother but they ain’t gon’ do it for their father. Mother’s Day comes, n-ggas is getting flowers, cards, all kinds of shit, right? What the fuck they get for Father’s Day? You get a text for Father’s Day. You get a text, to make sure that you still know where you should send your cheque.”
