Teyana Taylor is threatening to sue after a viral TikTok video made bold claims about the singer abusing drugs. The Tiktokker who posted the video might take a lesson from the recent legal slapdown of Youtuber Tasha K by Cardi B.
TikTok user @klatschhh made a video about an “unnamed singer” with two daughters whose husband is on Dancing with the Stars. The account claims the “singer” learned her husband cheated on her and overdosed before a show, adding that the unnamed singer then shared an Instagram post on Nov. 28 to update fans on her health.
This led to fans thinking the video was about Teyana Taylor as she posted a message to her fans on social media on that same date after a hospital visit.
Teyana responded to the viral Tik Tok video in a now-deleted Instagram post, denying the allegations and threatening to sue. “The person who sent in this CAP ass TikTok story is a fool, the person who ‘re-enacted’ this CAP ass story is a fool (she better have her court coin ready) but the people who believed the CAP ass story are the biggest fools smh,” Teyana wrote in a since-deleted post responding to the accusations. “Y’all allow a YT girl to pull some shit like this during Black History Month???”
Recently, rap star Cardi B filed a lawsuit against Youtuber Tasha K for spreading malicious lies about her, saying that the rap star had a sexually transmitted disease and was a prostitute. Tasha K lost the suit and was ordered by the court to pay Cardi millions in damages and fees.
Teyana might be officially retired from music, but she might not be off the stage forever. She teased a farewell tour before saying goodbye for good.
Teyana also earned the title of sexiest woman alive last year and made history. Though she might not have planned it, she earned that title anyway. The popular model and online influencer made history as the first Black woman to be named ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’ by prominent men’s magazine, Maxim.
