G.O.O.D. Music's Teyana Taylor is finally ready to give the world her first full-length solo album and announced the project's title over the weekend. #savethedate
Barring any changes, Taylor’s debut will arrive on store shelves in mid-October.

Footage of Taylor trying out for the lead role in an Aaliyah biopic surfaced online a few weeks ago.
G.O.O.D. Music rapper Teyana Taylor definitely did. TyronBee posted a series of Instagram videos of Taylor’s audition, along with this note. “I know teyana is gona be mad at me for posting her audition clips but i honestly feel no one deserves this role more then her,” he wrote. “She embraces Aaliyah dancing, acting and singing. (Which I’ll be posting all 3parts) but unfortunately @teyanataylor heard that Aaliyah’s family isn’t involved & she no longer wanted to be apart of the film. Here’s part 1 The dancing.” (MTV)
According to reports, the crooner’s family wanted to put an immediate end to the upcoming Lifetime feature.
Aaliyah’s uncle and former manager, Barry Hankerson, tells us the family is pissed that no one from the network contacted them about the movie. Hankerson says the family will block any attempt on Lifetime’s part to use any of Aaliyah’s music. He says the family has hired a lawyer and will do everything they can to block release of the flick. The family is not opposed to a big, theatrical film, but thinks a TV movie is too small for someone as big as Aaliyah. (TMZ)
Outside of the entertainment biz, Taylor recently talked about going to see G.O.O.D. Music boss Kanye West marry Kim Kardashian in May.
“Yeah, G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam,” Taylor said when asked if she is still signed to G.O.O.D. Music. “Yeah, [Kanye’s helping], but right now, I don’t want anything falling into my lap. I’m excited, he’s another brother of mine. He’s getting married. I’m trying to let him focus on [him]. [Am I going to the wedding?] Oh h*ll yeah. [laughs] I’m happy for him.
