New York rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine is ready to shake the weight. The hip-hop newcomer has promised to start getting his body right over the next few weeks.
Tek went to Instagram to make alert his fans they could soon start to see him lose weight.
“Today is like March 2, Friday, I’ve been making a lot of money for the last couple of months and I’ve kinda let myself go. I’ve been getting a lot of weight and a lot of people been calling me fat and they’re drawing pictures of me and not drawing me like the regular Tekashi. They’re drawing me like the fat Tekashi. I just haven’t been caring about my physical appearance so I want my fans to join me if you’re into caring about your body. Hopefully by the end of the month you guys will see a difference. But starting today I’m going to start trying to lose weight.”

This week, a report went viral about Tek possibly gassing fans up about the value of a customized chain.
The rapper worked with Houston jeweler Jimmy Boi to come up with the piece, to match his face tattoo. They previously collabed on his ’69’ spinner chain, too. Although, 6ix9ine bragged he spent $300k on the “Saw”-inspired ice, we’re told it’s only valued at just over $100k. Guess math ain’t his thing. (TMZ)
Over the past few days, Tek has kept busy promoting his latest neck candy and its alleged $300,000 price tag.
Based on early estimates, Tek’s new studio release Day69 is set to sell up to 60,000 copies.
ScumGang/TenThousand’s 6ix9ine will be the week’s top debut and should be a lock for a spot in the Top 5 with a first week total of 50-60k, 20-25k for the album. The Black Panther soundtrack (TDE/Aftermath/Interscope) gets the nod for a third week on top. (HITS Daily Double)
