Tekashi 6ix9ine Keeps His Word, Goes Full Latin Mode W/ New “BeBe” Anthem

New York rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine is branching outside of his comfort zone and showing the world he’s capable of putting out any type of music. The hip-hop rookie has delivered on his promise to premiere a highly-anticipated “BeBe” single.

On Friday, Tek came through with his Latin-inspired Spanish banger.

‘BEBE’ follows on from 6IX9INE’s recent Billboard smash ‘FEFE’ featuring Nicki Minaj – already Platinum in the US and still going strong in the Official UK Top 30. Dropping shortly after 6ix9ine visited extended family in Mexico, the jumpy xylophone instrumental sees 6ix9ine singing in Spanish for the first time, whilst Anuel AA brings the Spanish bars to balance a finessed Reggaeton-influenced banger.

Over the past few days, Tek has promised to drop his new “BeBe” single on Friday.

Recently, 6ix9ine defended his decision to put out a Spanish-heavy banger and low-key threw some shade at Young Money’s Drake.

Heading into last weekend, Tek promised to drop a new mixtape by late September.

“So I’ve been thinking for my fans. Y’all been so good to me and this October 2, I don’t know what can happen. Anything can happen. I’m not mad about it. I don’t feel no type of way. I’ve been talking to a lot of friends. I talked to Akademiks and I’ve been putting out a lot of hits lately. I’ve been putting out a lot of good work. A lot of Billboard hits. This late September, I think you guys deserve another project. I know I came out with Day 6ix9ine in February but if anything happens I want you guys to enjoy a project. Nothing but hits. It’s not going to be no skipping songs. No ‘I don’t like number three,’ and I think you guys deserve it. I feel good. I lost a lot of weight. I just feel good and I love you guys and I want to give you that.”
