Country music star Taylor Swift has plenty of money in the bank. The Grammy-winning singer has toppled her competition atop Forbes‘ 30 Under 30 celebrity list.
According to the financial publication, Swift’s $170 million in generated profits last year has put her at No. 1.
She made a full $60 million more than second placed One Direction – which is four people. Her nearest individual rival was Barcelona and Argentina striker Lionel Messi, miles back in third place with a paltry $81.5million earned between June 1 of 2015 and 2016. Although there were only four women among the total of 37 people (including two boy bands), three of them made the top five, with Adele and Rihanna making $80.5m and $75m respectively. A source told the paper: ‘Taylor is always looking at ways to grow as an artist and really wants to try something different and unexpected for the next album.’ (The Daily Mail)
