Country music star Taylor Swift is beefing with Kylie Jenner thanks to the Internet. Social media is buzzing over a new Swift billboard allegedly taking aim at the curvy reality TV entertainer.
New pics have gone viral of a Swift billboard popping up feet away from a “Life of Kylie” Los Angeles billboard.
A new billboard featuring Taylor’s mug promoting her new single, “Look What You Made Me Do,” moved in across the street from a “Life of Kylie” billboard 50 feet away on the corner of Santa Monica Blvd. and La Cienega in WeHo. By the looks on their faces … we’d say Taylor’s got more to prove here — and more turf to claim in this epic billboard face-off. Taylor isn’t known to have beef with Kylie personally, but we all know she’s not on good terms with Kim and Kanye … and probably, by extension, the whole Kardashian clan. (TMZ)
In late August, buzz developed over Kylie’s brother-in-law Kanye West‘s fans gearing up to troll Swift.
Some fans became suspicious after Taylor announced that her upcoming album Reputation would drop on November 10, which is the ten-year anniversary of Kanye’s mother’s death. (While Taylor has yet to respond to the coincidence, her label did address the date, saying that it’s “standard practice that releases come out on Fridays and we locked in this release date based on other Universal Music Group releases.”) Still, it would seem that many Kanye fans are upset about the unfortunate overlap — so much that they decided to “reclaim” November 10 as “Hey Mama” day. Days prior, Swift’s camp shut down rumors about her trolling Kanye by putting out Reputation on the 10-year anniversary date of Ye’s mom’s death.
“It is standard practice that releases come out on Fridays and we locked in this release date based on other Universal Music Group releases,” a publicist at Swift’s label tells PEOPLE. “There is no correlation.” (People Music)
Both Kanye and his wife Kim Kardashian are expected to miss Swift’s potential MTV Video Music Awards wrath at this Sunday’s ceremony.
It would have been pretty epic … Taylor showing off “Look What You Made Me Do” as she stares down the royal couple, but we’re told long before the single was released they decided the VMAs were not for them. They’re in town, but we’re told there’s no particular reason for them to trek to The Forum near LAX. (TMZ)
