Country music star Taylor Swift has revealed what precautions she now takes following a publicized Twitter dispute with Young Money’s Nicki Minaj last summer.
In a new NME interview, Swift admitted she will no longer put her public problems or issues with someone on social media.
“I don’t want to talk about it,” she said. “But I send text messages now. If there seems to be some kind of misunderstanding, I go to someone’s management, I get their number and I text them. It’s an important lesson for anyone to learn in 2015.” (NME)
Swift joined Nicki on-stage for a joint performance at last summer’s MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles to call a truce.
Minaj opened the show with her song “Trini Dem Girls” before Swift joined her for “The Night Is Still Young.” They closed their set with a brief portion of Swift’s song “Bad Blood.” (TIME)
In July, Swift accepted responsibility and publicly reached out to Nicki after responding to her rant.
Nicki appeared to swing first by suggesting a Video Music Awards snub for songs like “Anaconda” and “Feeling Myself” may have had something to do with the “kind” of artist she is.

How about that, a celebrity getting to the root of a problem by contacting said party instead of putting it on social media for all of the world to see.
