Hollywood actress Taraji P. Henson recently channeled her “Empire” character Cookie during an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and offered some caution to rap star Kanye West.
Asked how “Cookie” would react in certain situations, Henson gave situational impressions for celebrities ranging from Yeezy to President Barack Obama.
So, it was only fitting that she and DeGeneres play a game called “What Would Cookie Say?”, which required that Henson channel the Lyon matriarch and let loose on Kanye West (“Run up on the stage and Cookie will chin-check you, Kanye”), Jennifer Lopez (“Girl, you is a freak but I know how to market that”), and even President Barack Obama (“Hee-eeyyy, my man in charge!”). Although brief with his words, rap star Ludacris recently said he would make a guest cameo spot on “Empire’s” second season.
Aside from new music, the Fast & Furious star adds that he’s really excited about his role on Fox’s Empire. “I have a guest appearance on the second season so make sure you look for that, definitely a fan of the show,” he says. But how does he balance it all? Luda says it’s difficult with his hectic schedule. “You know, that is the hard part, I wonder that every day, but without the work life I wouldn’t be able to have such a great personal life, because you got to work hard to put food on the table.” (ABC News)
Miami music star Pitbull will appear on “Empire” when it returns later this month.
On Thursday, Fox announced that pop sensation Pitbull would be the latest celebrity to guest-star on Empire. Unlike many other musician-actors who appeared on the first season, he’ll get to play himself, and perform the song “No Doubt About It” with Jussie Smollett‘s character, Jamal. (Vulture)
