Model Tahiry Jose has decided to cover-up the "Joey" tattoo she got for ex-boyfriend Joe Budden and record the procedure for 50 Cent's ThisIs50.com website.
In the video, Tahiry also warned viewers to never get another person’s name tattoo on their body.
“I’m trying to figure out how I’m going to cover the tattoo and he’s giving me some suggestions,” Tahiry said in a video. “No butterflies, sorry Mariah [Carey]. He’s thinking more like a flower, because I’m such a girlie girl. I’m nervous, I’m kinda shaky. We’ll see what happens. Yes, I’m in good hands, six and a half years in tattooing. Sh*t happens…ThisIs50.com…Can you please take that camera off my face! ThisIs50.com, TahiryOnline.com, oh, lord have mercy. Never try that at home, [laughs] I mean never go to a tattoo parlor and get somebody’s name on it, on you. Lord Jesus.” (This Is 50)
Last month, Budden addressed his name being tatted on Tahiry’s lower body and denied being abusive to her during their five-year relationship.
“I don’t have a tattoo of any females name on me, any females picture on me,” Budden said in an interview. “No [I didn’t hit her.] She got mushed, I mushed the sh*t out of her f*cking a**. And I think she was asking to get mushed. No [she didn’t hit me first], because she was dead caught cheating and I was fresh off tour and I was like, ‘What’s up?’ You’re caught, you’re busted. Evidence? You wanna hear some good sh*t? I really am uncomfortable talking about this sh*t, because I don’t like talking about her, period…she was wildin’ and I’m big on body language — I came home and she was wildin’, she drinks. She drinks every night — she was drunk, she was wildin’, we got in a big argument, I found out she was cheating after she went to sleep — I did go to check her phone…That led to something else to something else — where the evidence was laying on the bed next to her, clear as day. However, Tahiry later released a statement claiming Budden was lying.
“I just want you guys to know this is very, very difficult to address, discuss, even talk about and sometimes think about it,” Tahiry said in a statement. “I’ve avoided to for months — the fact that he’s not telling the truth after rapping about it to me is just completely disgusting. I’ll just let you guys know that if he had never publicly discussed our break-up, I wouldn’t have neither. Let alone the fact he put his hands on me — it’s his choice to discuss it however he wants it, even if it’s to the world, he’s free to handle it the way he wants to handle it…The day I heard his [‘Downfall’] song was the day I was having my tattoo party which is why I chose to address it the way I did…I left and will never go back because he put his hands on me…Nobody should ever allow or accept anybody to put their hands on them. So I wish it all would end…” (Statement)
Outside of her past relationship, Tahiry said she planned to take her career into the movie indusry last January.
“Right now, we’re setting it all up, I’m looking at reality TV,” Tahiry revealed to interviewer DJ Vlad. “Possibly try some acting. I just had a couple interviews and I said I’m not trying to be Halle Berry, but Rosie Perez 2010 why the f*ck not? I’m never afraid to try anything. Hosting, I did that for the Rucker — whatever door’s open, I’m walking right through them. [Me and Joe] were doing meetings [for a reality show], but we were doing it together. Now we’re basically, there’s a fork in the road. Yes, it was pretty close [to finalizing]. Sad but true. We got as far as sitting down and being right where we need to be.” (Vlad TV)
