[SOHH highlights a hot record every week and offers a behind-the-scenes look at the smash in Singled Out. After Iyaz broke down his Nash-assisted “Alive” comeback single, Texas native T-Wayne decodes his Ty Dolla $ign and Chedda Da Connect-assisted “Nasty” Freestyle remix music video.]
The “Nasty Freestyle” remix music video came about because we hit up Isaac Yowman to shoot it and I just came up with the idea.
I wanted it to be different from any other music video by having a horse and panda bear, all that weird stuff, I wanted to gain everybody’s attention.
From the first video, I shot it and I wanted to be up there and show everybody I came a long way and so I wanted to do it right with this one.
We made it a little different, fun and turnt up. When you watch it, it’s like you’re watching a party.
This was probably the longest video I’ve ever shot. It took about three days.
The video shows people to live life and not to be all bored. It shows you that even if you’re down, you can turn up. It makes you just want to be happy, seeing kids living out a dream.
It motivates you to do the same thing. When you compare it to the last video and look at this one, you’re like, “D*mn, this kid came a long way.”
