Model Maggie Carrie Heckstall has stepped forward to speak out on the treatment she has received since being shot at rap star T.I.‘s New York concert last week.
Despite not seeing who shot her, Heckstall believes law enforcement officials have harassed her in trying to find the shooter.
The bullet is still in her leg — too close to vital nerves to be removed — but that hasn’t stopped ballistics-hungry cops from repeatedly asking about it, said her lawyer, Emel McDowell, who is readying a lawsuit against the NYPD and Irving Plaza. “These people are heartless,” Heckstall said of investigators. “The interrogation started in the ambulance. The detective was in the trauma unit the whole time, while they’re cutting my clothes off and everything.” (New York Post)

Back in May 2012, shooting victim Troy Ave put up a Twitter post about having a nightmare similar to his real-life gun arrest this week in New York City.
According to reports, new footage obtained by New York law enforcement allegedly shows Troy firing a gun backstage at Tips’s Irving Plaza New York concert last week.
