Grammy-winning rapper T.I.‘s staying busy in 2017. With a new album on deck and recent Kevin Hart TV venture, fresh reports claim the “King of the South” has a police series coming together.

According to reports, “Atlanta’s Most Wanted” will star Tip and premiere in the coming months on Fox.

In one of the first major buys for the next broadcast development cycle, Fox has given a script commitment with significant penalty to Atlanta’s Most Wanted, a drama starring and executive produced by actor-rapper Tip “T.I.” Harris. The project, from now-indie Jerry Bruckheimer Television in association with Fox sibling 20th Century Fox Television, is described as a character-driven police procedural. (Deadline)

The Atlanta native is expected to play a central role in the series about crime families and law enforcement.

Atlanta’s Most Wanted will center around Marcus Armstrong (T.I.), the son of an Atlanta crime boss who is recruited to join a vice squad investigating new criminal elements throughout Atlanta. Armstrong’s precarious partnership with the cops, however, will threaten his own long-held secret, which could derail his entire life. (Rolling Stone)

A few weeks ago, reports emerged about T.I. landing a Showtime TV deal with comedian Kevin Hart.
