Grammy-winning rapper T.I. and Rick Ross can’t wait to see Meek Mill get out of prison. The duo have once again lit up social media to rally up support for the jailed Dreamchasers boss.

Tip and Rick both took to Instagram this weekend with more supportive posts centered on Meek’s freedom.

Yesterday, comedian Kevin Hart shared a serious video message about Meek’s situation.

“Um, happy Saturday, people. I’m just taking a second to speak on my friend Meek Mill’s situation and try to bring as much attention to it as I can and asking you guys to go to Justice4Meek.com. Sign the petition, we’re trying to get this sentence re-evaluated. I mean, look, it’s just not fair. Look, the guy’s not perfect. He’s done some things in his past life and he’s been on probation for a large part of that past life and the sentencing he’s getting is stupid.”

This week, Meek’s lawyer Joe Tacopina singled out the judge for throwing down a multi-year prison sentence.

According to Tacopina, Meek and the the judge are from the same part of Philly and know some of the same people. Tacopina says the judge suggested to Meek — during a meeting in chambers last year — he do a remake of Boyz II Men’s, “On Bended Knee” … and give her, the judge, a shout-out. Meek thought she was kidding and laughed. Tacopina claims she said, “I’m not kidding,” and when Meek refused to do it, she replied … “Okay, suit yourself.” (TMZ)

Over the past few days, everyone from JAY-Z to Rick Ross have rallied for Meek’s freedom.

  1. I cannot feel bad. He violated his probation and was given almost 10 years to clean up and he couldn’t do it. It was a fair sentencing.

  2. On the surface, Meek’s case looks like something I’d support but the reality is that he’s a rich guy who would’ve been locked up a long time ago if he weren’t rich but he is so he kept getting a slap on the wrist. Fuck that shit. How about a rally behind people living paycheck to paycheck that get jail time instead of probation to begin with or end up violating once just being in the wrong place at the wrong time and get locked up. Fuck that green privilege bullshit.
