Grammy award-winning artist T-Pain can add “restaurant owner” to his title. The “Nappy Boy Radio'' founder has stepped into the entrepreneur role, and he wants fans to know he’s got this.
T-Pain took to Twitter to share exciting news about his new investment. Though not his first building purchase, the R&B superstar announced how scared he was of this new venture. But he said can no longer ignore his “path’.”
“I DID IT BOIS!!!! I’m officially a restaurant owner. Got my keys today and I’m scared as shit. BUT! I can no longer ignore the paths God has set for me.”
The singer turned rapper continued to express how getting out of his comfort zone will be challenging, but necessary when taking a leap of faith.
“Just because I don’t understand or I’m scared I’ve learned that if I’m not afraid, that means I’m in my comfort zone, that may be what some ppl want but as comfortable as it is in there, it also gets fuggen BORING!!! In this new chapter of my life I’m taking the leap on anything I truly love and believe in.”
Though many fans were excited for the serial entrepreneur, others projected their concerns of the purchase not being a smart move post pandemic. T-Pain clapped back, setting the record straight. He shared a photo of his parents in front of their first restaurant to remind the doubters he’s not new to the food industry, but true to it.
“Thank you everybody for your support, kind words, encouragement, and though it may not seem like it, I also appreciate the concern BUT, pls don’t project your own fears onto me. Let me shoot my shot without you telling me why you’re afraid to shoot yours.”
No official grand opening date for Teddy Pain’s new restaurant “5ive” has been announced. But the Nappy Boy promises the food and drinks will be delicious.
