Grammy-winning rapper T.I. isn’t ready to grab a Starbucks latte anytime soon. The King of the South has detailed his unwillingness to support the coffee giant despite multiple apologies.

Footage has emerged of Tip at an airport explaining why an apology just won’t cut it for him.

“I think we should preserve our right to stop spending our money at places that don’t respect us equally. You know what I’m saying? I think that until they’ve made some progressive steps to let us know how they plan on rectifying the situation, I don’t see no other answer. I think that if there’s one thing that America has shown us, there’s only two ways that you can get their attention— the loss of life and the loss of finances. It’s just too much that’s been left undone when it comes to us being treated equally and fairly in this country. I don’t have nothing personally against Starbucks – just an apology ain’t gonna get it.” (TMZ)

Over the last 24 hours, music mogul Russell Simmons has called out the coffee empire for its now-infamous arrest of two black men at a Philadelphia store.

Yesterday, comedian Kevin Hart went to Twitter to single out the coffee franchise but did not call for a boycott.

Saturday afternoon, the coffee conglomerate issued its apology which ultimately fell on deaf ears.
