Grammy-winning rapper T.I. is 100 percent here for Andrew Gillum‘s epic election polls slaying. The King of the South has congratulated the Tallahassee mayor on winning Florida’s Democratic primary for governor.

Tip went to Instagram Tuesday (August 28) night to geek out over Gillum’s huge victory.

With the Florida governor spot in mind, Gillum has already made history with Tuesday night’s big win.

The 39-year-old is the first black American to win either major party’s nomination for statewide office in Florida and the third top-of-ticket black candidate in the United States to be nominated this year, joining Maryland’s Ben Jealous and Georgia’s Stacey Abrams, who’s also running for governor in a highly competitive state against a candidate who also received Trump’s endorsement. Over the past few days, hip-hop stars like Rick Ross and Diddy have rallied behind Gillum.

Gillum could ultimately cement his legacy as Florida’s first-ever black governor.

Andrew Gillum is on the verge of making history. Gillum, 39, is the mayor of Tallahassee, a husband, a father of three, a FAMU grad– and he’s vying to be the Democratic candidate in Florida’s gubernatorial race. If he wins the general election, he’d be the first Black Governor in the state’s history. For the son of a construction worker and a school bus driver, it’s a classic tale of the American dream, and a new chapter in Gillum’s ambitious political career (he became the youngest person elected to Tallahassee’s City Commission when he was just 23-years-old).
