The B.I.D. is an acronym for ‘The Blessing In Disguise.’ In my past, I’ve always had brief bids that I had to do behind the wall. Everyone knows that.

I came up with a way to make a metaphor that means something for what I’ve been going through in life and that was the goal.

I’ve come through a lot of different obstacles and a lot of different diversities, so to be able to put it all together, it’s all one thought.

I try not to make it too complex. You never know what someone can be. Stuff is going to come down and I try to be humble and nice to everybody. I try to make my music mean something. I want it to be thought-provoking.

I’m from Atlanta and I’m a street n*gga so I understand the club music and what people want but I stand for something different. I stand for going against the grain, as far as sonically, conceptually, my song topics, everything is different but it’s intense.

Either you’re going to like it or you’re not. I’m glad that most people are liking it.
