Grammy-winning rapper T.I. isn’t surprised at the current government shutdown going on. The hip-hop veteran has hit up social media to share his reaction to the nationwide crisis.
Tip went to Instagram last night (January 21) with a meme about President Donald Trump‘s track record of having past businesses shut down.
Later today, the Senate will vote and possibly bring an end to the government shutdown.
The Senate is scheduled to have a key vote at noon Monday on a bill to reopen the government and fund it for three weeks, though it’s unclear if this plan will win over enough Democrats to pass. The vote will come several hours after the workday for hundreds of thousands of furloughed federal employees was supposed to have begun, and comes three days after the government officially shut down Friday at midnight. USPS operations will not be interrupted due to the Gov’t shutdown, & all Post Offices will remain open for business as usual. Because we are an independent entity that is funded through the sale of our products & services, & not by tax dollars, USPS will not be impacted. pic.twitter.com/FS7kyvlONV

The government officially shut down Saturday (January 20) at midnight for the first time since October 2013 primarily over immigration disagreements.
Democrats want to restore protections for 690,000 unauthorized immigrants brought to the U.S. as children, the so-called dreamers. Trump rescinded an executive order allowing them to stay in the country and gave Congress until March 5 to pass legislation. The Trump administration and GOP leaders are not willing to discuss immigration at the same time they are trying to fund the government. But since Senate Democratic votes are needed to pass a spending bill, the party has leverage and lawmakers are demanding that any legislation allow the dreamers to stay. Most Democrats in both houses are not willing to vote on Republican legislation that includes none of their priorities. (NJ)
Over the past few days, President Trump has taken direct aim at Democrats and boasted about Republicans.
Democrats are holding our Military hostage over their desire to have unchecked illegal immigration. Can’t let that happen!

Great to see how hard Republicans are fighting for our Military and Safety at the Border. The Dems just want illegal immigrants to pour into our nation unchecked. If stalemate continues, Republicans should go to 51% (Nuclear Option) and vote on real, long term budget, no C.R.’s!
