Ruff Ryders producer Swizz Beatz recently talked about working on rap star Kanye West‘s The Life Of Pablo solo album and discussed the aftermath of their “Famous” song.

According to Swizzy, Yeezy wanted people to abruptly react to Ye’s Taylor Swift-referencing track.

“That’s what Kanye wanted to do,” he said. “If he didn’t get that reaction, something would be wrong. You know the lights are on and it’s showtime when you get that reaction, like, ‘Oh, that’s Kanye. Here we go.'” (Business Insider)

Footage of Yeezy saying Swift gave him the green light for his “Famous” lyric surfaced online last week.

A 65-second clip of Yeezy’s backstage “Saturday Night Live” tantrum, where he name-dropped Swift, surfaced online in mid-February.

In an audio clip exclusively obtained by Page Six, Kanye can be heard repeatedly yelling at “SNL” production staff, “Don’t f–k with me,” before branding Swift — who he claims on his new album he made famous — a “fake ass”. Then the hotheaded rapper went on to proclaim that he is “50 percent more influential” than legendary filmmaker Stanley Kubrick, Pablo Picasso, Paul the Apostle — who was handpicked by Christ to deliver the gospel — and even the notorious drug runner Pablo Escobar. Reports last month speculated Swift fired off a couple shots at Kanye during a Grammy Awards acceptance speech.

“As the first woman to win album of the year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to all the young women out there: there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame,” Swift said near the close of the show. “But if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you’re going. You’ll look around and you’ll know it was you and the people who love you who put you there and that will be the greatest feeling in the world.” (USA Today)
