Producer Swizz Beatz has opened up about his new marriage to Grammy-winning singer Alicia Keys and how he came to fall in love with her.
From Swizzy’s perspective, they both share a special connection with one another.
“It’s just a feeling,” Swizz said about falling in love with Keys. “Love is a word that’s powerful but the feeling is even stronger…To identify that feeling is something that’s amazing because it doesn’t only come from your partner. It comes from your love for music, your love for people, your love for a lot of things, and I think that once you identify the feeling of love, you’ll be a better person. I’m a better man. I think that having love in your life, it just has that effect. Because then you spread love. You can’t enjoy love without spreading love. I just think that it all falls in the pocket.” (MTV)
Earlier this month, Beatz and Keys received numerous Twitter applause for their marriage from artists like Busta Rhymes.

Diddy also hit up his Twitter to congratulate Keys and Beatz.

Swizz and Alicia’s union was surrounded in controversy as his ex-wife, singer Mashonda, had been vocal about the couple’s affair during their marriage.
“My husband admitted to having his affair on Mothers Day 2008, six months after I found out. I didn’t sleep for a whole year. I had to take pills to sleep because I’d wake up in the middle of the night crying…They are just now going public but this has been going on for a very long time… I didn’t want to put that out there for my son. I didn’t want him to see his father as a monster. But the shit is deep.” (VIBE)
