Former Ruff Ryders producer Swizz Beatz has finally confessed to rumors about his son, Egypt, sneaking a kiss on longtime pal Jay Z's daughter Blue Ivy Carter and what immediately followed.
According to Swizzy, Young Hov made sure to alert him after the kiss went down.
In fact, Hov is so watchful over baby Blue that he once put a call into friend and musical collaborator Swizz Beatz after the multiplatinum producer’s son Egypt planted a big ole kiss on his daughter. “The kiss happened and I got a phone call from Jay, talking about, ‘We need to talk’,” Swizzy told “RapFix Live” host Sway Calloway with a grin when he appeared on the show on Wednesday. “So you know, they’re starting out young I guess,” he joked. Back in February, Swizzy’s wife Alicia Keys said the sneaky kiss on Blue from her son immediately landed him in Jay’s dog house.
“He’s two. He’s so adorable. I can’t even tell you how huge of a basketball fan he is. I can’t believe it,” Keys said about her son. “He knows the whole starting line-up, he can say their numbers, he can say their names and at night, he has a special song for Melo that he sings, and JR Smith. He’s very cute. …. The kids will hang out and I think Egypt kissed Blue [Ivy], and I don’t think Jay liked it very much. He called my husband like, ‘Umm, watch your son.’ [laughs]” (“The Wendy Williams Show”)
She also revealed plans to have at least another kid later down the road.
“I definitely want more kids, I do,” Keys added. “I’d like to wait at least two years and I’m going on tour and I’m very excited. The first date is March 7th, it’s the ‘Set The World On Fire Tour’ with, thank-you, Miguel. I love Miguel. I do actually want more children.” (“The Wendy Williams Show”)
Jay’s wife Beyoncé Knowles-Carter previously revealed an interest in also having a sibling for Blue Ivy in the future.
Beyonce was asked why she revealed her miscarriage in the documentary. “I felt like there are so many couples that go through that and it was a big part of my story. It was one of the hardest things I’ve been through. It was one of the reasons I did not reveal that I was pregnant the second time. You don’t know what’s going to happen. It was hard,” Beyonce said. Thankfully, Beyonce’s daughter came after — she was the positive light that shined after a dark time. “She is hilarious and she is fire. Lord am I going to have me a time. She’s very smart. She’s doing flashcards. She’s beautiful,” Beyonce said. So when will we see another baby? “I definitely want another child. After this next tour, maybe I’ll have another baby.” (Hollywood Life)
Last year, Jigga talked about fatherhood and making sure Blue grows up with morals.
At the last minute, I remembered to ask after his family, “Oh, my family’s amazing.” And the baby? “She’s four months.” Marcy raised me, and whether right or wrong/Streets gave me all I write in the song. But what will TriBeCa give Blue? “I actually thought about that more before she was born. Once she got here I’ve been in shock until maybe last week?” Her childhood won’t be like his, and this fact he takes in his stride. “We would fight each other. My brother would beat me up,” he says, but it was all in preparation for the outside. “I was going to have to fight, I was going to have to go through some things, and they were preparing me.” He smiles: “She doesn’t have to be tough.
