I'm an Apple fanatic, that's no secret. My friends know it, my coworkers know it, my cat knows it. It takes a lot to pry me away from my AirPods specifically, but this week I was tempted enough to try Anker's new Life Q30 headphones. Why? Their main selling point is noise-canceling everything (besides their super affordable price tag: $80). I mean, everything. Wind and traffic noises interrupting your flow? Set it to outdoor mode and your good. Taking a trip via plane or train? There's transport mode for that.
The headphones more than delivered when it came to noise-canceling. All it took was downloading the Soundcore app on my phone. I could even add a widget to access every mode from my home screen without needing to enter the app at all. What I didn’t expect was the added perk of easily pairing them with all of my devices.
Now, I know it might sound crazy, but I have nightmares from my struggles with pairing devices in the past. Granted, I can be technologically inept at times, but the Life Q30 was made for those real struggles. It took seconds to pair with any device and there weren’t any slipups with my laptop suddenly blaring a Megan Thee Stallion track. Safe to say these headphones are going to stay in reach wherever I am from now on. My AirPods will understand, they still have a special place in my heart and are handy when I’m on the go.
