The fourth reason you should go see SUPERFLY is because of the director behind it. Director X really made a name for himself with doing classic visuals for artists like Drake and Rihanna. Unlike the pressure Hype Williams received last year with the 2Pac biopic All Eyez On Me, Director X doesn’t have to worry about holding up an iconic musician’s legacy with this release. Instead, you can tell from the trailer alone X has put together a masterful film with the heart of the original in mind but also some serious innovation and new ideas.
