Former Death Row Records owner Marion "Suge" Knight could have a steep hill to climb in a publicized murder case thanks to a witness' 911 call leaking this week.
The frantic audio landed online Thursday (February 5).
The 911 caller is clearly unraveled as she describes what she saw last Thursday from start to finish. What’s especially important … she says Suge and one of the victims were fighting and then Suge “pull back and pushed forward and run him over.” It’s not crystal clear, but it seems she’s saying Suge hit the guy intentionally. Suge appeared in court Tuesday (February 3) to address his criminal charges.
Former rap mogul Marion “Suge” Knight pleaded not guilty Tuesday to murder charges in a fatal hit-and-run incident before complaining of chest pains in court and being taken to the hospital. Knight, 49, stood in a defendant’s box next to his attorneys and intently read the complaint against him as the hearing opened. (CNN)
Reports claimed an ambulance took Knight to a nearby hospital after he experienced chest pains at his appearance.
Suge was in the lockup area next to the courtroom when he began experiencing chest pains. But it appears it’s not his heart … it’s his nerves. This is the second time Knight has been taken to the hospital while in police custody — he passed out in a jail cell last November as a result of a blood clot. (TMZ)
A police spokesperson confirmed his no-bail hold Monday (February 2).
Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Nicole Nishida told The Times that Knight’s bail was pulled for the following reasons: “Possible flight risk, three-strike candidate, possible witness intimidation issues and his criminal past.” Knight is due to make his first court appearance Tuesday, Blatt said.
