Former Death Row Records owner Marion “Suge” Knight has reportedly refused to undergo surgery to have a bullet fragment from the infamous fatal shooting of late rapper 2Pac removed.

According to reports, Suge wants to keep the 1996 reminder lodged in his skull.

Here’s the problem. Suge’s in bad shape as he lingers in a jail cell, and doctors want to perform an MRI so they can figure out why he keeps passing out. But the bullet fragment causes interference with the machine, so doctors want to remove it. Suge’s attorney, Matthew Fletcher, tells us Knight thinks he’ll die if doctors start screwing with his head and try to remove the fragment, especially given his fragile state. (TMZ)

In late April, a judge did not approve Suge’s request to have bail reduced in his current hit and run fatal case.

His attorney asked the court to reduce Knight’s bail, now set at $10 million, but Los Angeles County Judge Ronald Coen denied the request. Knight faces one count of murder for the death of Terry Carter, one count of attempted murder in the case of Cle “Bone” Sloan, who was maimed in the incident, and one count of hit-and-run. Knight, 49, faces up to life in prison if convicted. (CNN)

In March, Suge passed out after being told he would be held on $25 million bail in a publicized hit-and-run case.

Former rap music mogul Marion “Suge” Knight collapsed in a courtroom Friday shortly after a judge ordered him held on $25 million bail in a murder case. Knight’s attorney Matthew Fletcher, said his client, who is diabetic and has a blood clot, told him that he hadn’t received any medication since Thursday. (USA Today)

Recently, Knight’s new attorney spoke out on his hit and run footage reaching the public.

Knight’s new attorney claimed during the discovery hearing that the newly surfaced video will help the 49-year-old’s case. “A hundred percent it proved Suge Knight was attacked,” attorney Matt Fletcher said. (CBS Local)

Gruesome video of Suge’s fatal accident emerged online in March.

Terry Carter‘s family asked that TMZ post the video to show what happened. The family’s lawyer, Gary Dordick, tells TMZ, “The Carter family is pleased you are releasing the video so the public can see what actually occurred and not be forced to speculate based on third party descriptions of the video.” We blurred the portion where Terry is run over … it’s just too gruesome.
