NBA superstar Steph Curry wants to see Diddy take that, take that North Carolina Panthers team. The Golden State Warriors champion has updated fans on Puff Daddy’s intent to purchase the NFL team.
This week, Curry assured a paparazzo Diddy is still in hot pursuit of Cam Newton’s star-studded franchise.
Steph was out in Beverly Hills Friday with his wife, Ayesha, when he told us he’s getting closer to buying his beloved football team, and says … “This is a real thing, so hopefully it happens sooner than later.” Curry says he’s been in contact with Diddy and they’re formulating a strategy to make a legit play for ownership of the NFL team … but there’s a lot of work to do still. (TMZ)
Panthers quarterback Cam Newton recently talked about Diddy possibly buying his team.
“I was just like everybody else. It was amusing. Obviously he’s a person that has a lot of influence in the culture and it was just cool. So, I didn’t know what to expect and I still don’t know what to expect. … How is it going to play out? I don’t even know how you’re going to sell something of this magnitude. So I’m just going to stay in my lane and worry about throwing touchdowns on Sunday, and let the rest handle itself – as far as a person that I’ve always looked up to, Puff Daddy, Diddy, whatever you want to call him, for that to even being mentioned, that’s cool in itself.”
Puff Daddy’s potential NFL pursuit has received strong co-signs from various high-profile entertainers.
