One of the more heralded records from Chris Vance’s 2014 mixtape, “Doom City: Last of The Best”, the video for this song is LONG overdue. Unfortunately, production of it was halted when Vance was injured in December 2014.
That injury wound up being a blessing in disguise, as the visual is a 100% true representation of the injury and how Vance has had to operate for the last five months while awaiting bi-lateral quadricep surgery. Enlisting Philly’s top independent hip-hop artist in Chill Moody and soul songstress Jacqueline Constance, Vance illustrates, with a nod to Snoop Dogg’s “Gin and Juice”, how life goes in the midst of struggle… You still have to show up, EVERY SINGLE DAY.
