Snoop Dogg‘s Rich & Infamous clothing line is reportedly facing possible price hikes as a result of the nation’s economy crisis.

Keeping details to a minimum, Snoop confirmed the financial storm has hit his apparrel company.

“The recession is affecting everybody,” Snoop said in an interview. “We’re trying to keep it one hundred percent and do what we’re doing and try to keep the prices a little lower. [We’re] trying to keep it cost sufficient for what [we’re] doing.” (Hollyscoop)

The West Coast rapper’s clothing line kicked off last summer.

Snoop has launched fashion label Rich & Infamous, a clothing line that he intends to promote extensively across the various entertainment properties with which he’s involved. That includes featuring the development of the new line in episodes of his reality TV series “Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood” on E! and showing off the clothing through product placement in films and musicvideos, with items worn by him and other artists. Co-inspired with brand manager Robert Thorne, the clothing executive previously spoke on the line’s impact on consumers.

“For Snoop Dogg, the name represents a fraternity of sorts, from presidents to gangsters, who’ve been able to endure the burden of gaining wealth at any cost. Garnering equal parts admiration and disdain, these men savor the fruits and relish the spotlight.” (Angry Ape)

Rapper Young Buck‘s David Brown Clothing was recently announced as going out of business as a result of the economy.

David Brown Clothing is out of business. Young Buck launched the clothing line last April but back then he was still with G-Unit. The David Brown Clothing collection included jeans, tees and hoodies all with the signature Young Buck “bandanna” print inspiration. But with its high prices and Buck’s dwindling popularity, it was only a matter of time before he called it quits with David Brown Clothing. Even his clothing line website which included an online store has been shutdown so no chance at buying that excess inventory on the cheap. (Woooha)

No further information on what prices changes will occur for Snoop’s clothing line has been announced.
