Snoop Dogg Asks Trump To Help Death Row Co-Founder

Snoop isn’t looking for a pardon for himself; rather he’s trying to help Death Row Records co-founder Michael Harris, a.k.a. “Harry-O.” Harris has been in prison since the late-1980s on drug trafficking and murder charges.

Snoop Dogg is trying to sway President Trump to free Death Row Records co-founder Michael ‘Harry-O’ Harris from an attempted murder conviction … but the clock’s ticking. During the presidential transition, Snoop’s been secretly lobbying Trump to commute Harris’ sentence and the rapper even enlisted Alice Marie Johnson to bolster his case … according to The Daily Beast. Harris, who started Death Row Records with Suge Knight way back in 1992 and helped sign Snoop and Tupac to the label, is serving time on attempted murder and drug charges at California’s FCI Lompoc. Snoop Dogg Gets Criminal Justice Activist To Help

In his efforts to get Harris pardoned, Snoop Dogg has enlisted the assistance of criminal justice activist Alice Johnson. She had her own life sentence commuted by Trump in 2018.

“It’s not because of who he is in the entertainment field but who he is as a fellow prisoner,” she said. “He’s like me. I was where he is. And I wanted to help Michael Harris. It wasn’t the Harry-O part of it, it was the Michael Harris part of it. When you go to prison, it doesn’t matter who you were on the outside. He and I share that in common, that we spent so many years in prison.” (The Daily Beast)

Lil Wayne’s Trump Endorsement Expected To Pay Off

New Orleans rapper Lil Wayne is definitely enjoying having friends in high places. It seems like his relationship with Trump is going to pay off for him in the form of a presidential pardon.

The rapper Lil Wayne was among those reportedly expected to receive a pardon or clemency from Donald Trump on his last full day in office on Tuesday. Sources familiar with the matter who spoke to Reuters suggested that neither the president himself, nor Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, or former aide Steve Bannon would be on the list, which may number up to 100. Neither would members of Trump’s family get pre-emptive pardons, reports suggested. While the legality of a presidential self-pardon remains untested, aides have cautioned Trump that pardoning himself and members of his family may imply guilt that becomes a liability in future state or civil lawsuits.
