West Coast rap veteran Snoop Dogg has confronted Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz and playfully confirmed possibly being her marijuana supplier back in high school.
Via Twitter, Snoop shared his reaction to Diaz’s “Lopez Tonight” interview.
“Cameron Diaz givn out all the secrets!! She got a thing 4 that sticky icky!,” Snoop tweeted Thursday (January 20) evening. (Snoop Dogg’s Twitter)
According to Diaz, Snoop was her #1 hook-up back in the day.
While making the promotional rounds on “Lopez Tonight” yesterday, Cameron Diaz revealed that she not only went to school with Snoop Dogg, but that the rap kingpin may have been a budding entrepreneur even way back then. “We went to high school together, he was a year older than me,” she recollected. “I remember him. He was very tall and skinny, wore lots of ponytails in his head, and I’m pretty sure I bought weed from him. “Yeah. I had to have,” she said. (E! Online)
Diaz also said she fought many battles during high school.
“So you were green even when you were in high school,” host George Lopez replied, joking about the “Green Hornet” star’s environmentally friendly lifestyle. “Absolutely,” Diaz, 38, said. “You asked me when I got into the whole green thing…” Diaz, who is currently dating Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez, also admitted that her Long Beach, Calif., school “was pretty rough,” with frequent fights between students. “I used to get into fights with boys more than girls,” the actress said. “For some reason, guys liked to fight me. I don’t know why.” Diaz recalled one specific altercation where her ponytail was yanked by another girl. “I had to shut her down,” she said. (NY Daily News)
After graduation, Snoop had difficulty making the transition from drug dealer to rap star.
Nicknamed Snoop by his mother because of his appearance, Calvin Broadus (born October 20, 1972) was raised in Long Beach, CA, where he frequently ran into trouble with the law. Not long after his high-school graduation, he was arrested for possession of cocaine, beginning a period of three years where he was often imprisoned.
