West Coast rapper Snoop Dogg isn’t anywhere close to thinking about retirement. The hip-hop veteran has announced plans to release a new album in the next couple months.
Snoop went to Instagram this week and broke the big news to followers.
“That’s that Snoop Dogg, coming in May – I’m back on my sh*t. … The album’s called Never Left. It’ll be out in May.”

This week, rap veteran Common weighed-in on the Snoop/Donald Trump “Lavender” music video drama.
“Hip-hop’s always been about freedom of expression. That’s one of the most powerful things. Hip-hop has been like a voice for so many people. Snoop, you know, at the end of the day, hip-hop has always been – if you go and look at Public Enemy and fast forward to Kendrick Lamar, like, hip-hop artists have always been speaking up and saying what they feel.” (TMZ)
A couple nights ago, Snoop Dogg revealed his disinterest in acknowledging the dispute.
“They all want to ask me questions and interview me but guess what? I’ve got nothing to say, mate.”

Hours prior, fellow rapper Bow Wow came to Snoop’s defense and blasted “Lavender” target President Donald Trump.
