[With Diddy officially announcing a huge Bad Boy tour going down this summer, 112’s Slim talks to SOHH about what may have sparked the unexpected reunion run.]
Puff Daddy and 112 have been talking for a few years. I stayed in Miami and I would see him all the time. He’d always hint at a tour like, “You know what? I’m going to get the family together.”
But you know the life of a billionaire, there’s a lot of stuff you got to do. As the years started going by, the first real hint was when we did the BET Awards. We did the show and there was so much talk and reviews where he really put it into warp drive.

We’d been trying for a while. That’s the one thing about the Bad Boy family, we’re all still doing shows, we’re still working out here, everything is great.
So we had to try to put all of our schedules together and that’s kind of strenuous. With doing something this big, you have to show and prove to a lot of things. It’s not like the 90’s where you’re running the charts.
With certain entities, you still have to show them you have a power punch and we’re a force in this industry. I think that’s what Puff did. He proved it.

We wanted to celebrate B.I.G., and we wanted to do that anyway, Puff wanted to do it on a bigger scale and he said, “Well, let’s see if people are interested.”
Boom. [This week’s Bad Boy Reunion New York City show] sells out in seven minutes. So I guess now he was like, “I wonder what would happen if I added another day?” Boom. Sells out.
If I’m thinking the way Puff is thinking, I’d say he’s thinking, “What if this could be a real tour?”
I don’t know. That’s what it’s looking like over here.
