According to reports, Iggy is concerned about her safety if the case is handled in Texas.

Iggy is embroiled in a bitter lawsuit with Hefe Wine — she sued him for surreptitiously downloading her personal computer and trying to hawk her music. Wine is asking the judge to move the case from L.A. to Houston, where he lives, but Iggy is panicked. She says that’s his turf and he’s “vindictive and violent.” It seems she’s saying Wine has more access to her if she comes to him. (TMZ)

Check out these other details…

Last September, Iggy filed a lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend.

The story begins in March 2008, when the pop superstar, born Amethyst Kelly, was a 17-year-old Australian living at a hotel in Houston, Texas. According to a lawsuit filed on Wednesday in California federal court, she was working on her music at the time when she met an older man named Maurice Williams (aka rapper Jefe Wine), who said he was a partner in an oil company. He soon put Azalea up in an apartment, says the complaint. What Azalea didn’t know then, she says, was that Williams was already married with children. (The Hollywood Reporter)

Things turned ugly a year later when Wine allegedly stole her entire music collection.

Williams followed Azalea when she moved to Atlanta in 2009, according to the lawsuit, and he moved into her house. Around that time, “Williams downloaded the entire contents of Azalea’s personal computer,” including unreleased master recordings. (The Hollywood Reporter)

Recent reports suggested Wine may have had legal authority to shop an alleged sex tape around.

Hefe Wine says Iggy signed a lengthy agreement with him in 2009 — obtained by TMZ — which gives him exclusive rights to “manufacture, sell, distribute and advertise ‘any’ recording embodying visual images.” Iggy signed the contract to cut records and music videos, but Wine believes all he has to do is put a music bed under the sex tape which he claims would then give him exclusive rights to sell it.
