New York rapper Bobby Shmurda has reportedly been denied bail for a seventh time after appearing in court for his drugs and weapons case.

According to reports, Shmurda’s legal team received the bad news Tuesday (January 19).

Bobby Shmurda was denied bail today by New York City judge Abraham Clott. Judge Clott told the court that he sees “no substantive change” in Shmurda and is “satisfied that the case is extraordinarily serious.” Shmurda’s attorney Alex Spiro told The FADER that the rapper and his family are “frustrated” and have been raising questions regarding why he isn’t being helped. Bobby appeared in court earlier this month and his lawyer requested a new bail hearing.

During the hearing, Pollard’s lawyer Alex Spiro, of the law firm Branfman & Associates, requested a new bail hearing, which Judge James Burke set for Tuesday, January 19. Spiro also pressed for the complete file of incident reports regarding every one of Pollard’s stops and arrests, as well as background files on the officers involved, to be put into discovery. “Absence of evidence [recovered during these stops] is evidence,” he explained, further alleging that the officers involved in the “seminal” moment of Pollard’s case have “burdensome files” that may include Fourth Amendment violations, false arrests, and more. Buzz about the New York native possibly being released on bail surfaced in early December.

Bobby Shmurda finally has a slight glimmer of hope — his legal team has a plan to spring the rapper from jail as early as Thursday. Sources close to the case tell TMZ … Shmurda’s family has stepped forward to offer up collateral for his $2 million bond. Most notably, Bobby’s aunt has put several properties on the line to help set the rapper free. We’re told the family has been working closely with NY bondsman Ira Judelson. (TMZ)

Back in October, Shmurda called into New York radio station Hot 97 to clear the air on various rumors.

“I’m hearing wild rumors going on. I’m hearing a lot of rumors and stuff,” Shmurda said. “I don’t have ten percent of my bail. I got collateral. I have the whole full security. They want a hundred percent. They don’t want twenty-five percent, they don’t want forty percent, they don’t want fifty, they want the whole collateral. They want the whole two million dollars – we have the whole ten percent, they want the collateral. … I ain’t get in contact with [Epic Records] in a long time.” (Hot 97)
