[With the R&B game lit thanks to musicians like The Weeknd, Tory Lanez and August Alsina, SOHH correspondent Jake Adelman analyzes crooner Bryson Tiller’s overnight success.]

Bryson Tiller has burst onto the scene and shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon. The multi-talented 23 year-old from Louisville, Kentucky has an extremely unique sound, blending hip-hop, trap, and r&b into one dope track after another. Tiller was pegged as the next big thing early on, receiving co-signs from Timbaland and Drake. He was even offered a record deal with OVO, but ended up signing with RCA in a win-win situation for the young singer-songwriter.

Tiller first blew up when his single “Don’t” hit the Internet in late 2014. “Don’t” now has 36 million plays on his SoundCloud account, and it’s music video has a staggering 66 million views on YouTube. On October 2, 2015 Tiller released his debut album “T R A P S O U L”. Just two months after the release of the album tiller announced a supporting world tour. The tour kicked off January in the U.S., and then will be off Europe at the end of March through April.

Just this week, Tiller sold out two nights at New York City’s Webster Hall. He was shown so much love by New York that two Radio City Music Hall shows were added onto the end of his tour, both have already sold out! Tiller stopped by Hot 97’s “Ebro In The Morning” the other day, and when asked about playing such a legendary venue as Radio City he replied “Last year was my first time ever going to a show so I don’t know how big of a deal it is to sell out Radio City…but my manager tells me all the time that it’s like a big deal for a new artist”. Playing Radio City is a huge deal, not to mention selling it out. Doing this as an artist with only one album under their belt is an ever bigger feat he should be extremely proud of.

Blowing up so fast has come at a cost for Bryson Tiller Fans. His entire T R A P S O U L tour is sold out, and resale Bryson Tiller tickets are not cheap. At Tiller’s Webster Hall shows earlier this week, the average price on the secondary market was $126.
