Do you know what the growing trend has been for the past year or so since the announced re-release of classics like Final Fantasy 7 and Resident Evil 2? Revamped and fine-tuned re-releases are officially a thing.
We now have the re-release of Yakuza 2. The reason for the different name this time around is the introduction of the Dragon engine (combat system) to one of the original titles in the franchise. If you played Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, you will be extremely familiar with the combat system. Yakuza is a crazy fun series and this one brings back nostalgia from the PS2 days.
With that introduction of the old time classic, looking for some more fun, let’s check out the top five reasons you should buy Playstation 4’s Yakuza Kiwami 2 when it officially drops Tuesday, August 28.
Reason 1: Nostalgia
Who remembers playing this one when it first came out? I didn’t come around to the Yakuza series until after this one, but I remember having to go backwards and and catch up to see what I had played in the third one. The fighting system is the only real thing that has changed for this game. This title is still fantastic. I love going back on some of these franchises, and this is one you should definitely take a look back in the time machine.
