Singer Sean Kingston is making headlines this week as reports claim a jeweler has sued him over unpaid accessories.
According to reports, Sean is on the hook for an unpaid $25,000 tab.
According to the lawsuit, Kingston went to Haimov Jewelers in Florida and traded in a used Rolex for a new $59,000 model, and the balance owed was $25k. The bracelet was a lot less … just $19k to buy it or $4,000 to rent. Sean chose door #3 — pay nothing, according to the suit … even though he signed the receipt, agreeing to pay the next day. (TMZ)
Earlier this year, the Los Angeles Police Department dismissed a kidnapping incident involving Kingston and a jeweler.
Law enforcement sources tell us, Kingston’s story just doesn’t ring true … that he met a jeweler in downtown L.A. in the middle of the night to settle a dispute over a $185k watch. Kingston claims the jeweler and his goons took the watch, locked him in a car at gunpoint and drove off, eventually dumping him in the street. It seems unclear so cops are calling it a civil business dispute. (TMZ)
Kingston updated fans on his status and called out a jewelry company on Twitter last November.
