I can’t remember exactly how I came across this young woman, but I’m glad I did! Introducing Scooty – currently representing Portland, Oregon with sultry, smooth vocals and the songwriting of an industry vet.
At first listen, Scooty reminds me a bit of Syd from The Internet maybe mixed with SZA, but this young artist has unique touch all to her own. Scooty gets deep and really expresses her emotions in her songwriting which is impressive for a new musician. It doesn’t feel like Scooty is trying to impress anyone but the woman in the mirror and maybe, just maybe, an ex-love or two.
