On Wednesday night, Saweetie posted on social media about her debut album's delay. Originally, the album was set for a 2021 release.
The 28-year-old addressed the delay in her album Pretty Bitch Music in an Instagram Story. The Grammy-nominated rapper reflected on the past couple of years as an artist, a human, and most importantly, a woman.
“I have realized my purpose with the platform God has given me which is why I have taken my time with releasing music this time around,”
Regarding the album delay, the artist stated:
“This ain’t no microwave shit! It’s baking & it will definitely be worth the taste.”
She told her fans that the album is worth the wait and explained its meaning and value.
“It’s a movement. It’s a culture. It’s a language. It’s a lifestyle.”
