I’m not going to lie, I definitely did not watch The Grammys. I don’t know. I’ve been there before. The decisions are never what they should be and it’s just weird to me. I don’t even really watch it.

I definitely am geared toward people appreciating my music and what I put out there.

I don’t think an award defines you. At the end of the day, whether people know it or not, these awards have a lot to do with politics. That doesn’t define an artist to me.

I might have to put my plans to go to Jamaica [this upcoming weekend] back because I don’t want to rush it. I was going to shoot a music video and I don’t want to rush it.

So I’m just going to push it back and when the time is right, I’m going to go out there and definitely shoot some stuff. I want people to see how ill it is out there.

I just want to make my mark. I want people to realize how different I am and versatile. I really am a smart person whether people know it or not.

I don’t just say the first thing that comes to my mind in my music. I’m going to say something that’s going to make you say, “Oh, that’s an ill metaphor.”
