New York rapper Safaree Samuels has no shame in letting his tears pour after facing death this week. The hip-hop artist has addressed going viral after announcing he almost lost his life to a pair of criminals.

Safaree went to Twitter Wednesday (April 4) and revealed what really made him shed tears.

Yesterday, reports emerged about police nabbing the two robbery suspects heading into New York shortly after Safaree’s run-in.

We’re told police were in hot pursuit following the alleged robbery in Fort Lee, NJ. Cops followed them over the bridge, and at one point the suspects crashed their car and fled on foot. NYPD joined the search before Jonathan Ricketts and Shawn Harewood were captured about 12 blocks apart. 12:26 PM PT — According to cops, Safaree claims he was robbed of around $183,000 of cash and jewelry. Earlier in the week, Safaree sparked headlines after announcing he had been robbed before an interview.

“Um, I just got robbed at gunpoint. A couple hours ago. I just got robbed. Two dudes with guns ran up on me. They had me face down on the floor with a gun to my head. They just took everything.” (“The Angie Martinez Show”)

A few weeks ago, Safaree talked about learning ex-girlfriend Nicki Minaj kissed rapper Nas when he briefly stepped away at her “Right By My Side” video shoot in 2012.

“I was there,” Safaree initially said when asked about Nicki Minaj and Nas kissing in the “Right By My Side” video in 2012. “You wanna know what’s so crazy? I didn’t know what happened until the video came out. I ain’t gonna lie. N*gga, I was hurt when that sh*t happened because before that I was able to be like, ‘Yeah, okay, cool. You gave Drake a lap dance, great. Lil Wayne. That was whatever. I was there the whole day and I was like, ‘D*mn. Did that happen when I left?'” (“Easily Offended”)
