New York rapper Safaree Samuels recently reflected on his past run with ex-girlfriend Nicki Minaj and dropped a shocker. The “Love & Hip Hop” cast member has revealed how he learned about Onika swapping on-screen spit with fellow rapper Nas in 2012.
In a recent “Easily Offended” podcast Q&A, Safaree reflected on Nicki and Nas’ now-infamous “Right By My Side” kiss and admitted how much it caught him off guard.
“I was there,” Safaree initially said when asked about Nicki Minaj and Nas kissing in the “Right By My Side” video in 2012. “You wanna know what’s so crazy? I didn’t know what happened until the video came out. I ain’t gonna lie. N*gga, I was hurt when that sh*t happened because before that I was able to be like, ‘Yeah, okay, cool. You gave Drake a lap dance, great. Lil Wayne. That was whatever. I was there the whole day and I was like, ‘D*mn. Did that happen when I left?'” (“Easily Offended”)

Recently, Safaree admitted his manhood may have ultimately forced Nicki to stay with him.
“I don’t know, how do you know if she even knows or not? The funny thing is, she used to always say to me that, ‘If you didn’t have that thing I would have been left you.’ She would be cracking up laughing when she said it to me. I definitely do not want to do porn but some porn company reached out too. I don’t understand these people. Something leaks and then you guys want to ask the guy [to do porn]. A few weeks ago, Samuels came forward to break his silence on his now-infamous frontal nude leak.
“This is the first time I’ve left my crib since it happened. That’s not something I want out there. My nieces, they follow me, they watch everything I do. People who think I did it, I’m trying to do stuff for promo, that’s not [the case]. … That came from my Snapchat. … I’m not gonna lie, ’cause when it happened – the way my phone and everything was going off because I was shooting a video and my joint – pause – my Instagram, my phone, everything was just going crazy.
