[After building a respectable hip-hop track record with his clique, The S.O.G. Crew’s Dr. Robert "Battle Ax” Ornelas prepares to show off his acting chops in the upcoming "Life of Gia” movie.]

Dr. Robert “Battle Ax” Ornelas from Hip Hop group The S.O.G. Crew (Thump Records/ Universal Music Group) will be featured in the upcoming movie, Life of Gia, coming this December. Ornelas has been busy over the last few years touring the country as a gospel Hip Hop artist with S.O.G. Crew, running for Vice President of the United States in 2012 as part of the American Independent Party, and recently working on the sound track of the new movie Where Is Good, directed by Ricky Burchell out of Nashville. Battle Ax, as he is known to the Hip Hop community, has teamed up with filmmaker Romane Simon in this movie, which features Sarah Baker as Gia.

“I want to thank Tara Rice from the Miss West Coast Pageant, legendary acting coach to the stars Bobbie Chance and my good friend Art San for blessing me with the opportunity to get involved in acting. I was able to connect with director Romane Simon through those amazing people. We are releasing our fourth S.O.G. Crew album early 2016 and will be touring from state to state, including Puerto Rico, encouraging communities through our live concerts. We plan to promote ‘Life of Gia’ and all the projects that we are involved in while on tour,” commented Ornelas.

‘Life of Gia’ is about a young girl who lost her parents in a car accident by a drunk driver. Life forced her to do the most unthinkable job taking care of her dying grandmother.
