Music mogul Russell Simmons is getting heavily involved in the water crisis efforts in Michigan this week and showing how many issues residents are having with the government’s response.

Simmons posted up shots of his investigation into the water problem to Instagram Monday (February 1).

Flint’s Mayor Karen Weaver spoke on meeting hip-hop veteran Snoop Dogg last weekend to discuss the water efforts.

“What I appreciated is he wanted to get a thorough understanding about how long this has been going on and what’s been happening,” Weaver said. “He came and just wanted to sit down and talk about what’s been going on in Flint.” (MLive)
