Instead of taking offense, Royce said he respected Tyler’s opinion.

“I don’t really have much of a take on it. What can you say? He said his opinion. It’s the kid’s opinion and what am I gonna do? Get mad at him? We’re living in that era now, man. That’s like I go over to a girl house that I’m trying to smash and her little kid [or] little baby brother is in there and he’s like, ‘You smell like marijuana!’ And everybody laugh because it’s the little kid and he’s saying something crazy. And everybody cares because it’s the little kid with the voice. That’s kind of how it is, man. I don’t care, man. What am I gon’ do about that?” (VLAD TV)

Royce also said fans should realize Em put an honest effort into the recently released Shady XV album.

“Whatever your favorite [Eminem] music is, be it Relapse, The Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show, the same amount of time he spent on that music, and the same amount of passion and effort and how dear to his heart he holds that music, he holds Shady XV. He worked just as hard on Shady XV. You talk about one body of work, you may as well be talking about the rest of the sh*t.” (VLAD TV)

According to reports, Tyler relied on Twitter to dish out his feelings on the release last month.

The tweet has since been taken down, since the Odd Future leader probably doesn’t want to be on the Detroit raper’s bad side, but that didn’t stop him from speaking negatively about it. “I love you Marshall, you are my favorite rapper, but dude ‘ShadyXV’ is f—ing ASS,” he reportedly wrote. “Hahaha, why won’t someone who loves him tell him NO,” which suggests that Tyler is confused about why people in Em’s camp weren’t more honest with him about the project. Following his unexpected remarks, Tyler appeared to acknowledge them with a Twitter post.

  1. Hell, even if it wasn’t trash, is Tyler the person that can speak on it? I don’t think so

    • Even though Tyler has miles to go before his mark is left, I think he can speak on it. For one, why shouldnt he be able to speak on it? And two, you see Em’s influence in Tyler’s style. That weird, warped, I dont give a fuck style he has came from Em. When you influenced by somebody, you going to know when they arent at their best and Em aint at his best now!

  2. lol, the little kid isn’t saying something crazy if you actually smell like marijuana.

  3. What record did Tyler make that ever had the people going nutso? This is a bitch ass nigga that is most well known for swallowing a roach and failing at remaking wutang sounding records.

    • Doesn’t matter. He can say the album is wack just like me and you. He no less qualified to expose a weak album than us as the fans. Em been putting out wack shit for a minute

  4. Yo, I kno yall stans are gonna try nd cyber butt fuck me with no vaseline for this, but fuck it, here it goes……. Mothafuck Eminem! Fuck your mr. so called “rap god”…. Em aint shit but a pill popper who gained popularity for dissing britney spears, mariah carey, nd his own moms…. I have yet to meet or actually see one person riding around bumpin slim shadys bitch ass, u gotta be high on pcp or shrooms to actually vibe to a whole eminem album… yall dudes needa give this mans nuts a breather for damn sakes
