Slaughterhouse’s Royce Da 5’9 is getting some things off his chest and has appeared to single out fellow Detroit rapper Big Sean on his new “Keep It 100” track.

On the record, Royce name-drops the G.O.O.D. Music artist and questions why they have not connected.

“Shady got these industry n–as on some fiend sh-t/They use me to try to get to him, like a seamstress/ I tell a n–a quick to e-mail Paul/ And quit acting like a female dog/ Other than that, shout out my n–a Khaled/ You the homie, my n–a/ If it was up to me, you know bro would be on it my n–a/ You turned that Ross verse around for me in like a day/ While I’m blowing Big Sean phone up for a verse/ Feeling like, instead of this busy body sh-t with my family/ I might as well try for ‘Ye” (“Keep It 100”)

Royce, Sean and Detroit mogul Eminem all appeared in a music studio last year.

It doesn’t seem like a coincidence that Nickle mentions people using him to get to Em just lines before calling out the Sean for not returning his calls. The G.O.O.D. Music rapper linked up with Marshall in the studio in April 2013, during a session where Royce was also present. Royce appeared on Sean’s 2012 mixtape, Detroit, and the song “100,” which also featured Kendrick Lamar. Meanwhile, Khaled is still chasing that Em verse (unless it’s on his upcoming album, I Changed A Lot), and Royce’s Rozay feature has yet to be released. (MTV)

Earlier this year, producer Just Blaze said his aim was to see Slaughterhouse dumb down any need to compete against each other on their upcoming group album.

“I’m producing the Slaughterhouse album right now,” the veteran producer said. “And my thing with that album is that I didn’t want it to be an album full of them trying to out-rap each other. I wanted them to actually be together during a majority of the process of the album as a group and just make things a little bit more rounded.” (XXL Mag)

Recently, group member Joe Budden revealed how much time Shady Records boss Eminem managed to squeeze onto the LP.

Joe Budden explained that em, who was an executive producer for the group’s last album Welcome to: Our House and the group’s mentor in many ways, had less involvement than usual because he was working on his own album. “Well, this time around he was also working on his album while we were working on our album,” Budden said in an interview with Hip Hop Since 1987. “So, he hasn’t gotten a chance or the opportunity to be as involved as he was last time, but he still gives suggestions. He still lends his input via phone or still communicates as much as he can, however he can.” Instead, Just Blaze will act as executive produce of Glass House. The album is slated for release in spring or summer. (Complex)
